Dear Valued customer,

On 3/26/20 at 11:00 A.M. Governor Whitmer clarified essential services in Michigan. Currently, she does not deem the Lawn Fertilization industry to be an essential service. Although many other states have concluded the Industry is at very low risk of spreading COVID-19; we, like so many other businesses in Michigan, will shut down services until the 14th of April. Wagenschutz Lawn and Tree is taking COVID-19 very seriously. Prior to shut down we implemented several new procedures to help ensure the safety of our staff, as well as our customers:

* We ask screening questions, per the Washtenaw County Health Department, and use a touchless thermometer before an employee can enter our facility.

* We have staggered employee start times, only allowing 2 employees to be in our yard at one time to better ensure social distancing from co-workers.

* We have moved all paperwork from our office to the employee’s individual work trucks to help ensure our office staff remains as safe as possible.

* We will continue to wipe down all surfaces that we encounter with Lysol wipes.

For the safety of our customers and staff, if you have lawn related questions, please call the office and a manager will get back with you as quickly as possible to answer your concerns. Once our services resume, we will continue with our COVID-19 practices. We may need to service residential homes, for the 1st time in a long time, on the weekends to ensure everyone gets their lawn, tree, and pesticide applications as scheduled. In these unprecedented times, we ask of our customers to be empathetic during this crisis and be assured that once fully operational, we will do everything in our power to maintain the quality and service that this family owned local business has been known for since the 1950’s.

From all of us at Wagenschutz Lawn and Tree, stay safe and we will see you soon.
